Dubai 24 hour race

On Friday we went along to the Dubai Autodrome for the Dubai 24 Hour Race. Unlike race meetings in Europe, the crowds are quite small, so to encourage people to come along, it’s free to get in and that’s with access to everything.

During the build up we walked through the pits and had a look in a few of the garages. Once the cars were out on the grid we went for a Martin Brundle style walk! It was great to get some close to the teams and cars before the race. There was a wide range of entrants, from Ferrari and Lambourghini at the front, to Honda, Renault and BMW at the back.

We then headed up to the grandstand for the race start – the noise was immense! After a while there we took a walk down to the first corner to see a bit more of the action.

A good day out – and even Morag enjoyed it!
